Terms of Service

Effective March 25, 2026 · Last updated March 25, 2026

Plain-English summary: You link a card to track your spending, set up a payment method, and pick a cause. We round up your purchases and charge you once a month. 100% of your round-up amount goes to your chosen charity via Endaoment. Separately, a small platform service fee is charged: 5% for ACH/bank account or 10% for Apple Pay or card, with a $2 minimum and $5 maximum. The service fee is a separate charge — it is never deducted from your donation.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PocketCache, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and PocketCache, LLC.

2. The Service

PocketCache is a charitable giving platform that:

PocketCache is a technology platform, not a charity. Charitable deductions are facilitated through Endaoment, the 501(c)(3) that receives and disburses your donations.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use PocketCache. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Linking Your Card (Plaid)

To calculate your round-ups, PocketCache uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. to connect to the card you choose to track. By linking your card, you authorize PocketCache and Plaid to access your transaction history and account metadata on that card on an ongoing basis.

Plaid's services are subject to Plaid's own terms and privacy policy. You can revoke PocketCache's access to your financial accounts at any time by visiting my.plaid.com or by removing the linked card in the app. Revoking access will stop future round-up calculations.

We access your transaction data solely to calculate round-up amounts. We do not use transaction data for any other purpose and do not sell it.

5. Fees and Charges

100% of your monthly round-up total goes directly to your chosen charity. The platform service fee is charged as a separate transaction and is never deducted from your donation. Each month you will see two charges: one for your round-up donation amount, and one for the service fee.

The service fee depends on your payment method:

For example: if you accumulate $8.00 in round-ups using a credit card, you will be charged $8.00 for the donation and a separate $2.00 service fee ($8.00 × 10% = $0.80, but the $2.00 minimum applies).

If your accumulated round-ups are less than $5.00 in a given month, your balance rolls over to the following month and no charge (donation or fee) is made until the $5.00 minimum is reached.

6. ACH Payment Authorization

ACH Debit Authorization: By selecting bank account (ACH) as your payment method and confirming your account, you authorize PocketCache, LLC and Stripe, its payment processor, to initiate recurring monthly electronic debit entries to your designated bank account. Each month, two separate debits will be made: (1) the accumulated round-up donation amount (100% of which goes to your chosen charity), and (2) a separate platform service fee of 5% of that amount, with a $2.00 minimum and $5.00 maximum. This authorization will remain in effect until you cancel your account or change your payment method in the app. You have the right to revoke this authorization at any time by updating your payment method in Settings. For questions about a charge, contact support@pocketcache.app.

7. Failed Payments

If your monthly payment is declined or returned (for example, due to insufficient funds), PocketCache will:

Round-ups continue to accumulate during a payment pause. Once you update your payment method and confirm, the pending balance will be charged at the next billing cycle.

8. Donations, DAF Structure, and Tax Receipts

PocketCache routes donations through Endaoment, a registered 501(c)(3) donor-advised fund (EIN 84-4236469). By using PocketCache, you understand and agree to the following:

Changing your cause: You may change your designated cause at any time in Settings. Cause changes take effect the following day — all purchases made on the day you submit the change are still attributed to your previous cause. Starting the next calendar day, new round-ups go to your new cause. This means if you buy coffee at 11am and a sandwich at 1pm, then switch causes at 12pm, both purchases stay with your original cause; tomorrow's purchases go to the new one. Amounts already submitted to Endaoment in a prior quarter cannot be redirected.

9. Cancellation

You can cancel your PocketCache account at any time from the Settings screen. Upon cancellation:

10. Prohibited Use

You may not use PocketCache to launder money, violate any law, misrepresent your identity, interfere with the platform's operation, or attempt to access data you are not authorized to access.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

PocketCache is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. PocketCache is not liable for acts or omissions of Plaid, Stripe, Endaoment, or any financial institution.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PocketCache's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in platform fees in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of PocketCache after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
