PocketCache, LLC ("PocketCache," "we," "us," or "our") is a software company that provides white-label round-up giving technology to nonprofit organizations. We are a technology vendor, not a fundraiser or charitable organization. Our contact email: privacy@pocketcache.app.
Account information — your name, email address, state of residence, and account preferences you provide when you sign up.
Financial account data via Plaid — To calculate your round-ups, we use Plaid Technologies, Inc. ("Plaid") to connect to the credit or debit card you choose to track. Through Plaid, we access:
We access this data solely to calculate your round-up amounts. We do not access your full account number, routing number, PIN, or login credentials. Plaid is a separate service subject to its own privacy policy — see Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. You may also visit my.plaid.com to manage or revoke PocketCache's access at any time.
Payment information — To collect your monthly round-ups, the Nonprofit uses Stripe, Inc. to process payments via bank account (ACH), Apple Pay, or card on their own Stripe Connect account. Stripe stores your payment credentials; PocketCache does not store card numbers or full bank account details. PocketCache never has custody of your payment credentials.
Usage data — Standard app interaction data (screens visited, features used) to improve the product. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We use Plaid Technologies, Inc. to link your financial accounts. Plaid provides read-only access to your transaction data for the sole purpose of calculating round-up amounts. Your bank credentials are never stored by PocketCache. Plaid's privacy policy governs their data use: plaid.com/legal/privacy. We do not sell your financial data.
We do not use your financial transaction data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than calculating your round-ups.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as necessary to operate the service:
We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after account closure to comply with financial recordkeeping requirements. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8) — note that we may retain records required by law.
We use industry-standard security practices: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls limiting who can view your data. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe on the Nonprofit's Stripe Connect account. We never store raw card numbers or bank account credentials.
PocketCache's donor services are not currently available in California. California residents are not eligible to create donor accounts. We are not collecting personal information from California residents for the purpose of offering these services. This notice will be updated when California becomes supported.
PocketCache is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at privacy@pocketcache.app.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of PocketCache after changes constitutes acceptance.
